Zusammenfassung: | Discussing some of the premises of a sociological theory of the contemporary firm, it is argued that the firm should be a center of social activity & should participate in the quest for new means of regulating social relations. Hypotheses are advanced about the dimensions of this phenomenon in terms of identity & culture.
