Although generally peaceful, the Malawian elections manifested patterns in accordance with African politics. Malawi's current political climate necessitated the development of a maximum coalition to offset the effects of regional political influences. Given that such a coalition failed to materialize, however, Malawian politicians need to formulate a symbolic policy framework that could give direction to the country. |
