Zusammenfassung:Pres. Bill Clinton's environmental agenda during his first term was inextricably linked to his economic policies. This was a form of compromise as he placed a greater emphasis on economic issues during the period. He argued that there was a symbiotic relationship between a strong economy and a healthy environment because protecting the environment will boost the economy in terms of the creation of additional jobs. His market-oriented approach to solving environmental problems called for increased private sector cooperation regarding environmental issues.
