Zusammenfassung: | TIPS is a recently developed teaching tool designed to individualize instruction in large classes with great efficiency. This paper describes how we implemented TIPS in an introductory sociology course at the University of Rhode Island and presents an evaluation of its effectiveness. Not only did students perceive TIPS to be a valuable learning aid but they scored considerably higher on the course exams than did a comparable control group. |
