The Politics of Marxist Sovietology: Otto Bauer's Vision

Discussion of the meaning of the Soviet experience and attempts to predict its future are all the fashion today. And this is as it should be. No other development of our age constitutes a greater challenge to scholarly comprehension or a greater burden to responsible statesmanship. All the more reason, therefore, to be history-minded, not only about the problem itself but also with regard to the various approaches to it which are current today.
