Zusammenfassung:The article discusses Poland's trade policy as it moves toward full membership in the EU. Poland's progress in the liberalizing reforms put forth by the WTO Agreements has been notable & is here documented, although its EU accession will surely pose new tariff, sectoral, & industrial challenges for policymakers. Other problems are relatively minor & not trade-specific, suggesting that the EU need no longer regard Poland as a transition economy nor subject it to membership double standards that have not been applied to Western European countries' accession. 5 Tables, 20 References.
