Zusammenfassung:Danish social scientists' interests in Latin America have shifted over time, but there is little depth of Latin American studies in Danish universities. Denmark's studies prior to the 1980s were mostly in philology & culture, but in the past 20 years, they have centered on: industrialization; trade & labor unions; movement, livelihood, & conflict in the Andes & Central America; & political culture. This research is reviewed using interviews & written memoirs of over 20 Danish Latin Americanists. The outlook for an expansion of Latin American research in Denmark is bleak. M. Pflum
