Modifications of Normative Principles in Statutory Pension Insurance

Recent years have seen many reforms in statutory pension insurance; nothing is as constant as change. In this article the main focus is on the principles that have an impact on the achievements of pension insurance. The two most important principles are the protection goal of the statutory pension insurance & the insurance principle itself. After an interpretation of these principles, the author asks if & how far recent legal decisions have affected them. He also examines how the upcoming pension structure reform of the elderly-property-law influences those principles. S. Schieszler
