Zusammenfassung: | Reports results of a series of pre-tests of mail questionnaires used in a study of 'sharing in the marriage relationship.' 50 R's were selected randomly from the Toledo, Ohio telephone directory for each pre-test. Findings: (1) the placing of small denomination stamps of various colors an the envelopes increased returns by 2%; (2) personal note and typed letter of explanation on letterhead paper increased the returns by 5%; (3) when a newspaper clipping relative to the study was included, a further increase of 5% occurred. The use of a follow_ up phone call increased returns by 37%. A total of 69% of the questionnaires was returned. W. D. Baker. |
