Zusammenfassung:In response to growing national concerns, two independent commissions reported during 1981 on the problems of retirement and disability in the United States. (See the reference in Book Notes.) The President's Commission on Pension Policy was charged to undertake a comprehensive examination of all public and private retirement and disability policies and develop recommendations for change. The National Commission on Social Security had a similar mandate with respect to social security and related programs.
