Democracy and Participation in Environmental Decision-Making

Themes of & papers presented at the Society for Human Ecology XI Forum are described. Democracy & participation are critical issues in the complex process of environmental decision making, especially now when environmental crisis & information revolution coincide. Forum papers address initiatives for delivering the appropriate scientific & technical data to the general public to ensure that environmental decision making is locally relevant, accepted, & effective.
