Zusammenfassung:This article deals with the exclusive, disruptive effects of the economic model implemented during the 1990s, which has had a profound effect on the Argentinean social structure. It explores the links between macrosocial processes and microtransformations through the analysis of the main tendencies and expressions of the job insecurity and social deterioration, their impact on individual trajectories, the well-being of households and family dynamics and the perceptions of those involved in these processes and their perspectives for improvement in the future. The article ends by raising the need to rethink the mechanisms and referents of social protection from an integral, inclusive perspective capable of responding to a new structure of social risks.
