Zusammenfassung:A brief report of findings of the 'Culture and Ecology Project,' which used survey res techniques to investigate the values, att's & personality characteristics among both the herding & farming sectors of 4 tribes (Kamba, Hehe, Pokot, Sebei) & which tried to determine the degree to which diff's in these factors were due to diff's in ecology. Presented are data highlights re: (a) cultural distinctiveness, (b) sex of interview R, (c) acculturation, & (d) ecological diff'tion. Data confirm the hypothesis that certain values, att's & personality characteristics result from the diff econ adjustments of herders & farmers. D. Cooperman.
