The Social Sciences among Biologists and Vaccines: The Hardships of Study in a Laboratory

This note explores some aspects of conducting research at a laboratory for the research & technological development of new vaccines. The note synthesizes part of a chapter of my doctoral dissertation entitled, "Diario de uma Pesquisa" (Diary of a Research Study). The idea of the diary is, in part, to show how the field research was conducted, & it underscores the personal experience of working in a laboratory, conversations & interviews with researchers & technical staff, & the process of learning about the work & the technology used. Since my interest is the social studies of sciences & technology, I have based the study on a dense description of these laboratory spaces. 18 References. Adapted from the source document.
