There are two contrasting schools of historiographic thought: the one depicts her as a devoted saint, the other as a plagiarist & an evil spirit. In an attempt to discover the reasons for such a striking difference, this paper narrates her biography & integrates it with two studies conducted by Andrea Maria Erba & Massimo Firpo, on her personality traits.
