Zusammenfassung:The role of memory in elaborating traumatic social experiences is approached in this paper by analyzing sociohistorical, familial, & individual records. The representations of horror present in some cultural means (museums, films), the transmission pedagogies of social catastrophes, & the forms of processing family heritage bring to the scene the complex balances between memory & oblivion & establish the possibilities left for the individual to rewrite his narrative & life path. 24 References.
