Zusammenfassung:The UNESCO Constitution states that "since wars begin in the minds of men, it is in the minds of men that the defences must be constructed." This paper explores and examines possibilities for world peace using the family and modern media as channels for constructing peace. Television and the internet will be available to the majority of families in the 21st century. An agenda for peace, associated with the global civil society, which is akin to the communitarian world order, can be embraced by families and incorporated into the socialization process through the modem media to promote values of world peace and social justice.
