Zusammenfassung: | Responds to online comments on the author's policy paper, "Immigrant Skill Utilization in the Canadian Labour Market: Implications of Human Capital Research" (2001), all offered on this journal's Web site as part of an electronic conference. Reitz addresses some of the methodological concerns & welcomes the improvements suggested by these contributors. He expresses gratitude for the "collegial" tone with which the problem of immigrant skill underutilization has been tackled, outlines some directions for continued research, & discusses how census-based methods might be used to monitor the impact of policies designed to improve immigrant education/skills & their labor market applications. 2 References.
