Zusammenfassung: | There is not a satisfactory definition of aging as a universal & irreversible process. Real or observable aging is identified from its conventional correlates (physical, mental, & social deterioration). Utilizing Spanish survey data, we support the hypothesis that relatively poor people, because of their lower educational & economic status, tend to suffer a worse & shorter process of aging than do those who are better off. Most of them reach high levels of disability, social isolation, & psychological distress. 11 Tables, 15 References. Adapted from the source document. |
