The Treatment of Prisoners of War in World War II

WWII stands out both in terms of scale and in terms of the sheer range of behavior exhibited by captor states when examining the treatment of POWs. Treatment of POWs during WWII, which depended on the nationality of both captive and captor and the period of the war, is discussed.
