Zusammenfassung: | Traditional early childhood education in China currently faces many challenges. To examine how change affects preschools, a case study of one preschool in southeastern China was conducted. The daily routine of the preschool was recorded. The attitudes of teachers and parents toward current practice in preschool education was examined and explained.Many of the conflicts inherent between government policy and parental aspirations became clear at the school level. The study demonstrates the emerging problems of early childhood education in China, especially in relationship to China's one child per family policy. |
