Zusammenfassung: | The New Economic Sociology (NES) seems to be satisfied with the disciplinary status quo. It is difficult to see the coherence between this position & the fact that the NES is theoretically strongly opposed to the individualistic approaches that prevail in economics. This article argues for an end to this incoherence. Our central idea is to show that the way NES analyzes the economic theory is wrong & has to be modified. Whereas traditional interpretations see in economics an under socialized approach, we defend an opposite reading. According to us, the specificity of the world as described by economists lies in the fact that it is frill of "objects" that have been designed expressly to be adapted to market coordination. It follows from this idea that the world of economists, though it may be particular, nevertheless complies with the general laws of human socialization, providing a common space for dialogue between economics & sociology.
