Zusammenfassung:A number of both Catholic and Protestant groups in Europe have attempted to intercede in and reduce prostitution and other forms of trafficking in women and children. However, while some organizations and congregations are extremely active in this effort, others do not yet seem to realize the seriousness of the situation. Up to this point apathy amongst church leaders and followers has been far more notable than activism. The author argues that all Christians must ask themselves what they can do to protect the "God-given dignity of every woman and child", and after having consulted their consciences they must then ask themselves how to translate their beliefs inaction.
