Zusammenfassung:This article analyzes Colombian immigrant youth in Spain & the process of reconstructing their collective identity & the relationship of that to social integration processes. Notable among the study's main findings are: (1) the identity changes the young people present on their arrival in Spain; (2) the dissimilarities to other collectives from which these Colombians reconstruct their resistance identities; (3) elements of national identification; (4) the tendency to identify supra-nationally, as Latin Americans; & (5) the fragmentation of the identity & the solidarity networks of the Colombian community in Spain.
