Zusammenfassung: | This article details the experiences of undergraduate and master's-level students (both in the United States and abroad) participating in a cross-cultural, educational, project-based program that was designed to provide nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) operating in Kyrgyzstan, a former Soviet republic in Central Asia, with information on how NGOs could better meet their goals and address specific social needs. The problem-based learning approach used in the program is consistent with key goals of nonprofit management education and is also responsive to student demand for practical, relevant education. |
