Zusammenfassung:Explores the problem of poverty elimination in the Gaza Strip, looking to extend the applicability of the old location theory wherein agglomeration strengthens the pull of cheap labor locations. At issue is the elimination of poverty regions through the development of industry-services complex analysis, an advanced form of agglomeration theory. Principles of attack gleaned from work in Puerto Rico are applied to poverty research in the Gaza Strip. The need for regional scientists to engage in poverty research is stressed as the problem of poverty elimination is shown to require interregional cooperative research efforts.
