Zusammenfassung:The authors intend to offer an analysis of the course & outcomes of science & technology public policies (Sc+ T) of the first alternation government, based on the view that changes have jeopardized improvements, programs, projects, & guidelines of a system that -- gradually & not without restrictions -- was in different stages of construction, growth, & consolidation. Also, the authors suggest a debate on challenges that Mexico will have to face in the next years regarding research & development (R+D), within a context that is likely to be a prolongation of policies implemented during the Fox administration, with ambiguities & uncertainties on what is to be done, despite growth expectations of public spending in this area.
