Nevertheless, beyond the period of international upheavals, these human rights were progressively twisted or violated by several Western countries. & this trend began from the 1970s. Then, the 1980s & the 1990s showed a certain level of confusion in their implementation, more or less voluntarily. A political & geopolitical approach, complementing the juridical approach & illustrated by many key examples, is necessary in order to put the current situation in perspective, which in turn is deeply worrying for the future.
