Zusammenfassung: | Kosovo and Bosnia are only two epitomes of the never-ending Balkan ferment. It is almost a miracle that Romania has kept its balance. Romania is a catalyst for confidence and stability in South Eastern Europe. Today, Romania is ready to be a primary contributor in sharing with other countries the profits of her long-standing, relevant democratic experience. Peace and stability in the region cannot be achieved without economic security, which means access to prosperity for all the people. The Stability Pact for Southeastern Europe invites Romania to be a part of a cooperative exercise that the country has already been practicing in various ways, through a whole range of cooperation structures and initiatives. Romania, by virtue also of her chairmanship-in-office of the Southeastern European Cooperative Process, views with utmost interest the activities of a structure like the Baltic Council. |
