Zusammenfassung: | North Korea possesses the potential to experience the economic growth that its southern brother has achieved in the last half century. North Korea has abundant natural resources and an affordable labor force. The market, if opened, will be attractive to contract manufacturers, importers of retail goods, and multinational corporations of large turnkey projects. North Korea's strategic location offers enormous savings in transportation costs for multinational firms wishing to ship goods to markets in Southeast Asia and Europe. This paper explores the economic side of the communist country and highlights key positive factors for multinational corporations and many American firms. |
