Zusammenfassung:It is worthwhile to assess the techniques and preferences of practitioners in order to determine what, if any, benefit they are deriving from the research efforts of academicians. Although there is a lack of published information on actual management practices in many areas, this paper concerns itself with only one important area -- the management of cash. Responses to a questionnaire type of survey provide the basis for an assessment of cash management practices of the nation's leading firms.
