An Assessment of Corporate Cash Management Practices

It is worthwhile to assess the techniques and preferences of practitioners in order to determine what, if any, benefit they are deriving from the research efforts of academicians. Although there is a lack of published information on actual management practices in many areas, this paper concerns itself with only one important area -- the management of cash. Responses to a questionnaire type of survey provide the basis for an assessment of cash management practices of the nation's leading firms.
