Conservation and Climate Change: The Immediate Need to Adapt

Argues that despite the presence of climate change impacts on ecosystems, the scientific & policy communities has not addressed systematically the adaptation to climate change consequences. After identifying some of the disruptive impacts of climate change, attention is given to the notion of adaptation as a conservation priority, mobilization of scientific & management resources, & the utility of markets.
