Zusammenfassung: | This roundtable discussion considers what has happened to the relations established between Lebanon and the Palestinians with the reopening of Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO) representation in Beirut and the designation of an official Lebanese team to engage in dialog with the PLO. The dialog enabled resolution of several long-term disputes, but its future has been jeopardized by the events that took place at Nahr al-Bared after the installation in the camp of Palestinian refugees from the Fath al-Islam group led by Chaker al-Absi. The discussants explore possible means to get the dialog back on track. Adapted from the source document. |
