Zusammenfassung: | A report on the text-encoding initiative (TEI) workshop held Dec 1994 in Chicago provides an outline of TEI guidelines for the preparation of document type definitions representing the results of document analysis of a text in a content model using a standard generalized markup language (SGML). SGML is defined for descriptive, system-independent text encoding that permits further text processing under a wide variety of systems for which software is available, including checkers, parsers, converters, browsers, & formatters. An exemplary SGML cross-reference in German is discussed. Adapted from the source document |
