Zusammenfassung: | A brief note dealing with Vuk Karadzic's presentation of the Serbian imperative mood in his Pismenica ([Grammar], Vienna, 1814) & Srpski rjecnik ([Serbian Dictionary], 1818), with special attention devoted to the treatment of the first-person plural forms. It is found that he neglected the synthetic imperative of the first-person plural, presenting only the descriptive form with da 'that'. It is concluded that he devoted little attention to the problem of language modality in Serbian. Z. Dubiel |
