Zusammenfassung:A word-priming study shows the explicit pronouns, PRO, & two kinds of NP movement traces all access their antecedents during comprehension. Movement traces access their antecedents more strongly than PRO, as predicted by the relatively strong structural dependence between traces & their antecedents. Three further studies show that movement trace in the passive construction primes its antecedent with an effect similar to the other movement traces. 1 Table, 28 References. AA
