Walther von Hahn: Fachsprachen

Walther von Hahn's Fachsprachen ([Technical Languages], Wege der Forschung, 498, Darmstadt: Wissenschaftliche Buchgesellschaft, 1981) is presented. The book contains twelve articles, which, according to Hahn, profoundly influenced research on technical langs. The articles date from 1913 to 1975 & are followed by a selected bibliography & subject & author indexes. The limited & selective nature of the edition is noted: not only were subjective criteria applied in the selection of the twelve authors but the edition was produced in 1978, rendering it outdated in terms of current research directions & objectives.
