Lexicology of Lexicography

Lexicological lexicography describes the meaning structure, lexical significance, & stylistic properties of words as linguistic units & components of a system within which they enter various combinations & occur in different lexico-semantic relations. Lexicographic descriptions in definitional dictionaries aim at explaining the lexical significance of words in a language on the basis of their function & meaning in speech.
