Zusammenfassung: | Discussed are questions relating to voice identification reliability & accuracy. Studies on this topic are reviewed & a brief experiment is described. In this experiment, one S attempted to identify 29 people familiar to him from a sample of 52 voices. Identification was attempted using a filtered sample which conveyed only prosodic information, a rerecording of each sample by one person, & 3 different length samples from each of the 52 persons. Preliminary results & conclusions about the processes involved in familiar voice identification are reported. 2 Tables. B. Annesser |
