Zusammenfassung: | The one variable that makes a difference in whether or not a reader progresses along his personal continuum of reading abilities is the teacher. Both training new teachers & retraining experienced teachers must be done. Specific tasks (activities & skills) can be identified that must be involved in the teaching of any reading lesson. By isolating & magnifying these tasks, actions of reading teachers can be defined, clarified, & illustrated. Expanded tasks can then become either a course outline, syllabus, abstract, or compendium that would be the focus of discussions in pre- or in-service teacher education workshops, meetings, or courses. Tasks are further described. AA |
