Zusammenfassung: | Broadmoor Hospital, in Surrey, England, is one of the 3 high security hospitals for England and Wales. To qualify for admission, patients must be detainable under English mental health legislation and be considered to pose a grave and imminent risk to others. The commonest single diagnosis is schizophrenia; comorbidity is common. Parker (1986) set out the tentative beginnings of research in Broadmoor, and this has been greatly strengthened by growing links with the Institute of Psychiatry. Describes how this has developed and the contribution of psychology. (Quotes from original text) |
