Zusammenfassung:Suggests that touching exerts a powerful influence on teacher /student relations. Students who were touched by an instructor rated that instructor as friendlier, more understanding, interesting, and capable than did students who were not touched. Performance was also positively affected by the addition of touching to the teacher/student relations, with 'touched' students outperforming their untouched peers by .58 standard deviations.
