Zusammenfassung: | The study sought to establish whether a small sample of children with Asperger syndrome (AS) show an increased number of attention deficit symptoms, using a widely used clinical assessment instrument. Results suggest that individuals with AS exhibit greater variability of response when compared to control subjects on a continuous performance test. This increased variability may be suggestive of attention deficit but, alternatively, may reflect differences in cognition or emotional state that could lead to greater variability in performance.
