Zusammenfassung:This case report describes a 6‐year‐old boy with delays in fine motor skills, low frustration level, poor eating behaviour, low self‐esteem, unusual fears and increased sensitivity to tactile, visual and auditory stimuli. Formal evaluation on the Sensory Integration and Praxis Tests (SIPT) revealed decreased somatosensory processing and discrimination, immature postural reactions and poor motor planning. Intervention addressed concerns primarily through the sensory integration model of practice. A 9‐month intervention period where one‐to‐one therapy was provided each week facilitated improvement in all areas of concern. Copyright © 1998 Whurr Publishers Ltd.
