Zusammenfassung: | Suggests that an ecological perspective of research requires qualities which are not part of research training and are not recognised as research skills. Community research cannot be a one-shot affair in which a neutral and objective researcher gathers information from subjects, and is consequently much riskier. It involves collaboration, commitment, mutual respect, reciprocity and recognition for both the autonomy of the participants and the potentially transcendent product that might emerge from the relationship.
