Zusammenfassung:The real issues responsible for the instability of the Gulf region are much more complex than the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and concern the very structure and composition of the Gulf countries. Unless they are addressed, conflict in the Gulf has potential for eruption in the future. The political, economic and social problems prevalent in these countries, which have nurtured such enmity between them, are examined as are the prospects for peace in the region.
