Zusammenfassung: | Successful planning for major dynamic technical advances in library information systems now require broad-based participation and ownership across the library. Discovery tools such as portals and federated searching go far beyond the capabilities of individual traditional access tools. The external technology culture is marked with rapid change and we must also find ways to implement new sophisticated access tools that evolve quickly. Stronger integration of development and assessment as part of public releases is needed-thereby inviting our users to be strong collaborative development partners-while stressing perfection is not required. |
