Zusammenfassung: | During the Communist era, the Communist countries of central and eastern Europe were ideologically committed to gender equality. What will be the effect of the recent upheavals in these countries, will gender equality be approved of or not? A sample of 227 Rumanian students were compared to a similar sample of 136 Scots students. They were presented with a questionnaire about gender related social issues. Rumanian students of both genders tended to be more conservative on gender related social issues, with the marked exception of their views on pornography. |
