Zusammenfassung: | The existing literature regarding neuroleptic malignant syndrome (NMS) amongst people with learning disabilities is limited. We describe three case reports of people with learning disabilities from the same geographical area who developed NMS within 3 weeks of each other. This was during the hottest part of a very hot summer. The presentation of NMS is discussed. The importance of carers attending to adequate hydration for people with learning disabilities and poor communication skills during the summer months is stressed. |
