Right talk about drugs

Reviews D. N. Husak, Drugs and rights. (New York: Cambridge University Press, 1992). The book seeks to show that present laws against drugs are not justified, on the grounds that they violate the rights of individuals. Husak would therefore see the repeal of laws against drugs as a moral matter, not as a matter of social policy. Focuses on the 2 middle chapters, in which he poses the question in terms of rights, and how to establish the supposed right of adults to consume drugs recreationally. Identifies other questions for closer examination.
